Lulu had a very rough life before coming to the shelter. Lulu suffered horrible neglect. She wasn't treated like a pet but instead as property. She lived in something similar to a junkyard and was tied out on chains and did not have shelter available to her. She had never experienced the love of a family, which was hard to believe after meeting this adoring dog. Lulu’s favorite place to be was in your lap. She was so well behaved that she would often eat lunch in the break room with those that worked at the shelter. She sat at the table like a human and waited for just a bit of macaroni and cheese, her favorite dish. Lulu spent a horribly long time at the shelter, waiting for her previous owner to officially give the SPCA permission to place her up for adoption. Once she did, because she was a Pit Bull mix, Lulu still had to wait several months until finally finding her forever home with a wonderful woman. Her owner now says that Lulu is an absolute miracle and the most affectionate dog she has ever had. Lulu finally had her very happy ending.
